Researcher Daming Dong
Information Technology Research Center, Beijing Academy of Agriculture and Forestry Sciences, China
Experience: Dr. Daming Dong is a researcher, doctoral supervisor, and recipient of the National Outstanding Youth Science Foundation and the National Outstanding Youth Science Foundation. He is currently the deputy director of the Intelligent Equipment Technology Research Center of Beijing Academy of Agriculture and Forestry, and the director of the Key Laboratory of Agricultural Sensors of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
He has been engaged in infrared and laser spectral sensing technology research for a long time, and is proficient in optoelectronic sensing theory, opto-mechanical integration design, and development of highly sensitive sensors. He was the core technician of a model project of General Armament, and made important contributions to national security. after 2009, he carried out research on optical sensing methods for soil, water quality, gas and other agricultural environments.
In the past 5 years, he has published more than 40 SCI papers in authoritative journals as the first author/corresponding author. He has been authorized more than 50 patents, including U.S. patents, PCT international patents, and Chinese invention patents. On the basis of the above mechanism research, we have carried out instrumentation research and developed more than 30 new sensors and monitoring equipment prototypes, such as the vehicle-mounted soil composition field measurement system, the SmartSoil series of gas sensors for agricultural sources, and the water pollution-seeking robotic fish. The SmartSoil series of rapid soil composition testing system developed for the first time realized the field measurement of 34 indicators of soil nutrients and heavy metals; the "SmartSmell" series of agricultural gas sensors developed broke the monopoly of European and American countries. He has been selected as one of the National Ten Million Talents Project, National Outstanding Talents in Agricultural Research, Beijing Highly Creative Program, and Outstanding Young Agricultural Scientist. He was awarded the 20th Mao Yisheng Youth Science and Technology Award, the Young Scientist Award of the Optical Society of China, and the title of "Young and Middle-aged Experts with Outstanding Contributions to the Country".
